One match played today and that was 79 years ago, in 1947. In what was the last game of the season (after one of the severest winters of the 20th Century) a highly entertaining home match against Newport County ended 6-3.

The first player was born in 1949 and apart from being part of the midfield team that would lead us to promotion from Division 1 to Division 2 in 1974 he would then go on to be a major part of our history, due to his transfer to Antwerp a year later.
