Saturday's Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final between Hull City and Middlesbrough will kick-off at 15:30.

Should the outcome of the ongoing appeal process result in the Final being contested by Hull City and Southampton, the kick-off time for the fixture will remain at 16:30.

The stronger the team, the stronger the team.

Yes they have been found out, it was wrong plain and simple, a fine and points deduction were the way forward, but to chuck them out at this late stage, is total bolox.
Are Boro at a disadvantage now?, maybe players off on holiday, now , have had to be recalled to train?

And all this while we are two years down the line with the 115 charges against City, almost forgotten about by the authorities.

      Modern Football stinks

No, Hull are the team disadvantaged.

Middlesbrough have continued training preparing to play Hull whereas Hull's preparations have been to play against Southampton or, at best, against unknown opposition.

Have no fear The Outsider mate, I have it on good authority that Hull have had spies at both Southampton and Middlesbrough this week. THEY PREPARED FOR ALL EVENTUALITIES.

There must be other clubs who have been doing this and now thanking their lucky stars it hasn't caught up with them.
Doubt there will be any next season.

I’ll throw this one in too - and I’m speaking through personal experience. There will be Southampton fans in distant corners of the globe who will have booked flights in the immediate aftermath of the result last week - as I did from Australia literally hours after the result against Sunderland 3yrs ago - I didn’t travel alone and I know a number of others also made it a short trip (Blue Mountains Hatter being one of them). Not to mention those from other parts of the world making long distance journeys. There must be an awful lot of really pissed off and out of pocket people out there.

This is one fuck-up of gargantuan proportions.

          It's getting even messier

Southampton players are exploring their options regarding legal action against the club if the English Football League’s verdict to expel them from the Championship play-off final is upheld.

Does that include Taylor Harwood-Bellis, who celebrated the goal against Middlesbrough with his binoculars celebration?! Didn't seem too bothered about it then!

Doesn't matter if it's football, politics, business, or a lottery win, the influx of large amounts of coin makes common sense and morals fly out of the window.

Surely all the Hull fans have booked trains and coaches for the later KO time?

Supporters coaches can leave earlier I guess, but trains are fixed.

If you're booking a train to London and have not given yourself an hour contingency for delays or crowds then you should have only yourself to blame.

If you allow an hour for contingencies and kick off is brought forward an hour you have lost your margin for contingencies if anything does go wrong on the day.

Cheats should never prosper. Yet the statement made seems to argue they can and should by having a chance to win promotion.

                    Nice to see teamslikeluton back.

Luton Town's 30-point deduction in 2008/09 — to date the most severe sporting sanction in the English game — was levied against a club already in League Two, with no comparable revenue at stake. Derby County's 21-point deduction in 2021 cost them their Championship status.
