Why are we like one of the last clubs to announce their released and retained list. Most of league 1 clubs have announced theirs now.

I don't normally post negative posts, but it seems to me that historically. We are late to enter the transfer market, doing most of our work in the last couple of days. The new Kit release historically is late, and stocking of the new kit in the club shop is also late and missing the pre-summer holiday uplift of sales. Pre-season games recently seem to be a bit haphazard in their schedule. Whoever is responsible for these parts of the club, you must do better. Take a leaf out of the ticket office team, and how they operate, as in all of my dealings with them, it has been first class,

Perhaps some negotiations may affect that? We only found out what division we're going to be in last Saturday. Do you think that maybe has some relevance?
Jordan Clarkes agent will have been on the go since January trying to find him the best deal. They’ll have had some indication on what Luton might or might not offer along the way. It’s not easy this summer. We have still a lot of players we signed in either the Prem or Championship who I presume will hopefully either be out of contract or moved on.

Isn't it better that the club wait in this instance? They have more info on what players are available so can pick and choose the contracts they need to keep within the squad.
