Shame. Suggests that he isn't the same player.Which is understandable but i think we all wanted him to come back as good as before if he wanted to. If he does retire i dont think he would be the worst coaching option for someone

I was talking to a Rovers fan when we played at Cardiff and he said that Tom will be playing at National League level next season at best as he is nowhere near L2 standard.
It's a shame but many doubted that he would ever play again at any level.

A lot of us (including me) woudl have kept him on - so that is a good example of (rightful) sentiment being no match for reality. A shame as you say - but also how many of us woudl haev wanted to see him play for us again after what we witnessed
