    Wells and Naismith

Have they got another season in them ? Age is definitely against them, but one thing's for sure.......I never want to see Wells take another spot kick !

Naismith will be fine but maybe on less minutes.

Wells seems a decent enough bloke but he has little impact and reduces our forward options. I'd get rid if possible.

These are probably high earners who we can't justify their wages next season. I think we should get rid of both if we can. Both seem decent people but too old, slow, and ineffective. Can't really afford them next season when younger options are available.

Describing Naismith as ineffective seems very harsh - yes, he made some big errors earlier in the season but (in my opinion) he has been really good in the latter part of the season.

Totally agree. Ever since the reading game he’s been one of our best players.

I also think that he’s not been as bad as people made out, he’s always had a mistake in him as that’s the way he plays, but it’s just been magnified this season because of our general poor form before March.

Agree with that. A lot of people earlier this season were saying his legs had gone.

However since he's been with us, he's never had much pace. This was camouflaged to a degree when he had Bell, Osho, Lockyer alongside him. Similar this season with Odoffin.

What he gives you is experience and a composure playing out from the back. He also wins his fair share of defensive headers.

I'd take the lack of pace for all the other attributes he brings.

I am one of those that said his legs are gone.

Before Odoffin came in there was no cover which exposed his lack of pace making him look like he was walking against players with pace.

I agree he has been very good 2nd half of season he has limited the mistakes and given us such a good platform going forward with his range of passing and composure.

I have been converted and hope he stays.

I think what we're overlooking is that Naismith will be here next season regardless of what we might want or think. As such we'll have to utilise his strengths as much as possible whilst covering his weaknesses.

Yes, that's a fair comment. What i meant is that, next season he'll be a year older and likely to be less effective last season. Can't rely on him delivering the odd brilliant set piece with his legs gone. To his credit he has turned his performances around this season but will be unlikely to do so next purely down to his age.

Prob need him as he can play a pass and Anderson and logwik are not passers at all, Joe can also play a decent pass

Andersen's pass to Jones yesterday was sublime!

Well it will be interesting to see who will be in our squad come August.
