    Whatever your thoughts are on whether we should still be in this competition, they should be put to one side tonight. Swindon's expulsion was entirely of their own making and the decision that was reached, was nothing to do with us.

    Yes we were abject in that match and deserved to lose it. Yes, we've been largely abject ever since and watching Luton currently is as painful as I remember it over the last 50 plus years, and that includes periods of our non-league "exile".

    There is currently a huge disconnect between fans, players, management and the board, but whatever your thoughts are on our reinstatement and this trophy itself, we are potentially 180 minutes and 2 home games away from a trip to Wembley. This won't repair the fractures at our club, but it will give the supporters another day out to a final, where for 90 minutes, all of the current issues can be put aside.

    So for those going tonight, get behind the team and hope that they can put a performance in.

        Cannot believe what I am hearing from some of the 'podcast boys' saying it would be a disaster to win it because it excuses the board and we shouldn't be in it anyway blah blah. Do you actually support Luton? FFS let's have a day out at Wembley after a shit season. If he picks a weakened side tonight I will be raging.

          Yep agree with all that. I don’t want to see a load of 17-18 year olds tonight because we’re saving the players for Port Vale. Though I couldn’t tell you what our strongest team currently is from the first team squad.

          I agree. This is now our only way of salvaging anything from this season. I say that because the performances have been poor and getting worse so any hope of a play off push would involve a massive turnaround and performances that created more than one scoring opportunity per match.

          The trophy is a poor second prize to a season where we should be pushing for promotion. But it's something I guess.
