    Billy Big Bollocks Culture

That BBB quote has come back to bite us.

Under NJ we were led by and attracted men with a work ethic, humility and no excuses. Gradually those heroes have been replaced by weak willed, egos.

Seeing other players go and do well elsewhere shows there is something deeply rotten in the culture of the club now. Aside from chaotic recruitment (players and managers), management styles and selections, there is a worrying defensiveness and ego that has spread amongst the board, staff and players alike.

Yes, expectations are too high from fans sometimes, but fans have every right to be angry and upset with recent years. It’s a shit show. Fans will always be unreasonable and challenging - great leaders rise above it.

There has been an under current of defensiveness for some time. Whether that is programme notes, interviews (when they rarely occur), player reactions to fans, stupid interviews by loan players bleating how hard life is. It absolutely stinks and is being allowed to manifest.

Until the people at the top actually start communicating some accountability, strategy and humility, we’re simply not going to succeed and move forward. It’s been a tough few years for everyone. We need leadership more than ever. Massive reset needed by the board - if you keep doing the same things and trusting the same people, you’ll keep getting the same results!

Like most situations and scenarios in life when money and power become involved people change and lose themselves. Greed and entitlement turns up and clouds people’s judgement. Coupled with outside influence aswell a good situation can quickly turn sour.

Gary Sweet used to work for Siemens. He’s now earning between £500k-£750k a year plus bonuses and expenses to act as CEO for the football team he supports. The power and money has gone to his head. He’s forgotten his roots , forgotten about ridding the club of previous owners that were there purely to line their pockets. To build a stadium which he will make decent money from whilst putting £0 money into LTFC himself.

We currently have 4 ST's and do 85-90% of away games aswell. I don't expect to win very week, but I do expect effort, commitment and desire when travelling up and down the country to support the team. The managerial and player recruitment is a farcical scatter-gun clown show currently. Im not sure I have the enthusiasm or patience for much more of it. Ill be lucky to renew 2 ST's this summer unless huge changes are use, and I know many others that are saying the same. The 25K Gary Arena will look daft with 15k empty seats.

      League one again ole ole

It doesn’t seem like this Board, in particular Wilkinson and Sweet, are going to reset and change their recent approach. Which has felt like treating fans, at best, as an irritant and, on several occasions, like the enemy.

I’m not confident at all. It feels like Sweet has to go to resolve this. Wilkinson going would also help because he has come across as super arrogant and superior in programme notes.

Ive said it before, Sweet thinks this is his club and wants the infamy of saying HE brought Luton back and HE built Power Court.

He was a huge Luton fan, but any Luton fan would be fuming at the moment. However he can be fuming but still know he is stealing a large wage for a failing football club.

Can you please explain how Sweet and Wilko were responsible fot those selections and tactics today. (I am not sticking up for them but today, at home to Burton, was down to JW and his coaches

                This.

Sweet is a fan, does anyone think he is deliberately getting us to be shit.

JW was the wrong appointment at the wrong time.
GS will know this now, it was always a gamble to go for a rookie but one many thought was a good gamble.

I wasn’t saying or suggesting that at all. In response to some of the content in the primary post, what I am saying / suggesting is the problem is much bigger and wider than just Wilshere.

This squad of players isn’t capable of playing any style of football well, not just Wilshere’s style.
