Yet he's playing as a winger whilst a centre back plays right back and the £1m right winger we signed from Aberdeen sits on the bench.

Lonwyk is a liability there, and I hope Wigans right winger is not quick.

Lonwijk was crap on Saturday, but so was nearly everyone else, even Clark. Not sure Jones is any defensively better than Lonwijk, tbh? I might be wrong, but I don’t recall him being any good at right-back before. Lonwijk isn’t perfect there either, of course, but he’s alright as a defender.

I think Jones is decent at right back and can bomb forward, overlapping, which has been much missed. Nige can't do that.
The balance is all wrong with Nige there.Bring compassion back.
