    Health advice- Colonoscopy

Posted by Whhatter on 17/2/2026, 8:24:03

Just wanted to seek advice here. I have Crohns disease and went for a colonoscopy on Friday. They were a bit concerned about something and took 8 biopsies, is this anything to worry about?

Just a bit worried thats all as they seemed to keep looking at a certain area. The medication im on really doesn't help and weakens my immune system so id really appreciate woke advice.

Much better to write a list of questions before your next appointment. (So you don't forget one)
The fact is, there is almost certainly a few posters on here with problems that they don't currently know about.
Don't worry. I know it is easier said than done, but what will be, will be.

It is not out of the ordinary to do that many biopsies, it is called Dysplasia which is just a look to see if you have any changes to the colon it is a standard precaution so don’t panic.

Try not to worry about things that haven't happened yet. I appreciate that's not easy but I was taught this when my wife had a cancer scare.

Just wait for the results and go from there.

            Best wishes with it all.
