In LT interview said at one point in the game some players looked like they’d given up…
Not sure its bad apples, more that some players lost heart too easy. It cant help every away game being setup wrong and getting battered! I hope Jack wises up to maybe 4-4-2 away is the one?
I don't think it helps when you look around the pitch and see players in their wrong positions.
Also playing that straight ball into Palmer/ Walsh from goal kicks , what does it achieve?
So easy to defend and how many times do we come unstuck.. Palmer is comfortable on the ball but its difficult when you have 2 players closing you down.
Players know when things are not working but are asked to do it over and over, it must be very disheartening .Bring compassion back.
Funnily enough, I was despairing of the short goal kick out when we were 1-0 down on Saturday…and that was the move that led to the penalty. So it CAN work, but I think the law of averages is very much against it all.
We can't blame the players for being disheartened and under-performing when our last 3 ipad coaches have insisted on them playing these rubbish tactics in away games.
