Stockport syndrome

We thought we'd cracked it, then again after Bradford. Now 21 points below a team that finished below us last season.

I don't think anyone thought we'd cracked it after Bradford
Most people, if not all, were saying we played well that day but that the acid test would be when we went back on the road. And here we are
Agree that being 21 points behind Cardiff, with parachute payments, is abject failure... yet again
Although, I don't know how much blame to lay at the players' door. Some obviously but they're way down my list. Its not their fault if they're not very good and we ended up signing them
Very true. The self proclaimed best run club in the country have wasted MILLIONS of pounds. And thanks to complete mismanagement at the top table we find ourselves with a pile of stinking shit.
He who thinks he is above reproach has totally screwed this football club chasing his vanity project that he is is totally unqualified to run.
I never used the phrase over engineered. The implication is usually concerning the stadium capacity. I disagree with the opinion its too high, we should be trying to build at that level and fill it.
As for individuals benefitting from it, it doesn't bother me. The people who will benefit saved us when we needed it and are attempting to make it sustainable long term. If Gary Sweet makes money from it then fine. He's the same guy who, I might be wrong, didn't take several seasons bonus payments until we were in the Premier League, at which point he took them as 1 rolled up payment. Not really the action of someone milking the club or us dry.The truth is simple. If it was complicated, everyone would understand it.
He's also the same bloke that took a huge wage the covid year whilst handing the begging bowl round telling us the club would go bump if we didn't hand over our hard earned pennies.
