Because he didnt track back. Cant defend. He could cross a ball though. Could get away with not defending as an out and out winger. Not as aw ing back

I'd guess he thought he would/should be one of the first names on the teamsheet but when that didn't happen his attitude changed and maybe was seen as disruptive in what was then a cohesive squad.
