    James Cook aka Captain Cook

Years ago I recall there was a larger than life Luton fan who was quite amusing and went by the nickname of Captain Cook I think. I'm sure he actually appeared on TV as well at one point, probably Soccer AM. Did this happen or have I imagined the whole thing? And if it was real did he used to post on here? I'm guessing roughly it might be as much as 20 years ago now?

Arthur Lee, perhaps the funniest poster (and wind up merchant) ever on here. And a top bloke in real life too.

Arthur lee. Wasn't he the one who stopped posting soon after we tumbled our way down to the Conference stating "I'll never go to a conference game, will you?" Or something like that.

As you may know, I played cricket with him for a good few years, the cricket was almost incidental to the laughs and booze filled post match evenings we used to have.

He is still good friends with Gregg Boughton, and recall he, Gregg, and another guy wrote some comedy scripts for submission to the BBC.

Had a few beers with him last Summer.

Who did you play for Ronnie?
I played for St Joe's (amongst others). Like you the cricket was great but before and after was better.

I remember about you and cricket.

Next time you see him please say hello from me. And tell him the late John Cipollina sends regards too from beyond the grave. Happy trails, James....

John Cipolina! He was one hell of a (very fast) guitarrist.
Saw him about 20 years ago in a solo gig in the Sinkkasten venue in Frankfurt. The guy was an absolute genius.

Does he still frequent Kenilworth Road? I found him quite amusing back then.

No not any more( although by accident he did go to a Vertu game earlier in season)
He lost interest many years ago, very witty guy, and a proper laugh, but just has other things going on now.
