You need your strikers to either be quick (in which case they may be able to get away with a lack of height) or tall and physical.
Pace makes it dangerous for the opposition to compress the game and try to pin you in your own half.
Physicality allows you win a decent share of long balls, and is essential once the opposition drops deep to defend a lead.
We have neither. We have slow midgets.
And with today’s team just two (Lonwijk and Andersen) aerial threats from set pieces.
No wonder we hardly threatened their goal.

There is room for Wells as he can pick pockets of space. But not as a lone striker. I dont think al hamadi will be the answer in a lone role either.
Basically undone by a twat who we paid 6 grand week for for 2 years and who did nothing at all for us, and then couldnt break down plymouths defensive line
