Difficult to explain a performance like that

No pace, no aggression, no organisation. Similar to Orient away the other week. You could see Exeter realise after about ten minutes that we weren't anything special and start relentlessly putting the ball between Lonwijk and Johnson, who looked like complete strangers to each other. Why are our players unable to identify a weakness in the opposition and attack it in the same way? We're so passive.

Lonwijk was awful today, he hardly won a header, didn't anticipate anything, and his positioning, was terrible.

I felt we lost pretty much all the battles, which made us lose confidence, I've never seen a team pass the ball backwards more than this team, that has to come from the coach.

Absolutely no point having the ball if you go no where with it.

Very disappointed with JW so far.
I listen to his interviews and think he is winging it.
Which to be fair to him he is to a degree, with no experience, he has to learn on the job .

I wish him well,he has alot to deal with, he needs to read the riot act and get this team fighting , there is no excuse for being 2nd in the fight.

      Bring compassion back.

In defence of Lonwijk, he’s been played across the defence all season. LCB is his natural position - or his previous one, at least - and he merits more chances there. Always gives his all.

If he doesn't work out, then it'll be yet another failed managerial appointment by the club

But I'm not writing him off yet despite some alarm bells

We're too deliberate. We rely on 'science' when football also needs 'art'

Far too regimented, inflexible, slow and robotic

To be fair, we are looking ok at home where possession and patience is often important. And we do seem to play with more tempo at home too. Away from home, we are consistently awful, slow and boring

              This is spot on.

All the talk about injuries and rest and rotation - it's become a self fulfilling prophecy. Just go out and play your best team to the best of your ability.

It's felt like since HT on Monday that we've not got out of second gear.

And the Trust podcast said that approach was fine.

I wonder if Jack just listens to James and Kev and does what they suggest?
