    Negativity, still, really???

Posted by Cuba on 3/12/2025, 10:05:20

While I can be fairly criticised for being negative when I feel it’s deserved there appears to be some underlying feeling that goes over above some deserved criticism of the last two years.

We were outstanding last night but rather than note that it seems that some are NEVER satisfied.

A month ago we struggled with a more experienced starting XI against a non-league team. Does it matter if Exeter had a few squad players in? So did we FFS.

Last night a less experienced, but far more cohesive and attractive XI stuffed a team who play in the same division as us.

FFS see the signs of improvement and how the corners are being turned.

If we have the quality on show last night playing with that confidence we should applaud JW and team for getting to that point so quickly, after viewing the Cambridge shambles that was never going to be easy.

I’d like JW to play the same XI at Fleetwood and maybe have some experience on the bench, and use if required.

JJ for me was absolutely the best player on the pitch and maybe it’s now his time to step up and solve a huge formation issue that has dogged us all season.

Wemberly, Wemberly, we're the famous Luton Town and we're going to Wemberly. Wemberly, Wemberly.

Bit of a strange rant seeing as there's been very little if any negativity?

Just a few pointing out Exeter were wank.

To read some of the flids on Facebook we're going to win the league, FA Cup, whatever last night's cup is called, the champions League and World Cup now.

          Outstanding ?
It was a decent performance against poor opponents.
It’s also highly unlikely you’ll see the team put out last night play together in a league game.

Some people are so far down Negative Road they've forgotten how to spot the positives. They need to put the handbrake on, do a screeching u-turn, and get back on the road to our beautiful future.

Exeter looking ahead to FA Cup in the hope of progressing to a lucrative 3rd Rd tie to solve their financial woes. It's not negativity but last night told us very little.

I'm normally a glass half full person but lets not get carried away. Exeter reserves or first team it matters not, they were absolutely shocking. Probably the worst team to play at KR for some time. And you can't just say that we made them look poor, we gave away possession often enough and there were plenty of stray passes so we weren't exactly brilliant. And a more clinical striker would have had a hat-trick.

Of course there were plenty of positives and it was an excellent result. The goals will give Nordås more confidence and a clean sheet is always a bonus. Just be a bit more balanced. Never too high, never too low etc.

And that defeat saw us just 4 points off the drop zone. That was a depressing week.

It was a very positive game IMO. Nordas itching 2 and the youngsters playing was great.
