    Watching back the highlights

As I thought at the time, Mengi’s performances have been improving game by game but he should’ve cleared that ball or at the very least blocked the shot for their goal. Secondly it looked like a nailed on penalty on Yates. How was that not given? Although ref didn’t give us much today and spent at least 30 seconds talking to his officials at every free kick and not restarting the game

Agreed that should have been a penalty

The defending for their goal . . . less said the better.

I would love to understand why that wasn't given as a penalty, I wonder if the awkwardness of the fall impacted the decision?

I think the four minutes wasn't that far off, one thing I liked about the ref was that a couple of times their players went down as if pole-axed and he just played on, yes a couple of times he didn't but at least he got that right a couple of times.

Agree. One noticeable instance around the halfway line in front of the Enclosure in the second half - player goes down hoping to drag the wet sponge man out and use a bit of time, ref not buying it, player then picks himself up and puts on a pretend limp before going into a full sprint. Well done ref.

Yes, I know the one you mean, would like to see more of that from refs to be honest.

Sky Sports have the usual two minute reel, I'm sure they will be up on the OS soon enough.
