    League One 2018/19

We're only three points worse off than we were after 17 games in this league when we pissed it 6 years ago.....

I'm probably getting ahead of myself...... Always too high, always too low.

This season we’ve been without Clark, Brown, AAH, odoffin and Jones for a good amount of this season.

When you look at the 18/19 squad, take JJ, Stacey, McCormack and Collins out of it and it doesn’t look anywhere near as strong and we probably don’t go up.

Not directly comparable player for player, but Just saying with these players (mostly) coming back, once they’re up to speed, it’s not unrealistic that they click into gear and we become much stronger second half of the season.

We've already lost more matches than we did in the whole of that season

Good job we're not losing again this season then

We think we pissed it - and know it was prob a bit tongue-in cheek - but after Burton, only a week before final day, there was still a chance we could blow promotion.

IIRC according to the Facebook experts, it was less "could blow it", more "had blown it"

After that Burton game my lads went round to watch the players board the bus home and had their photos taken with James Collins. I told Collins, who looked a bit pissed off, in no uncertain terms to chin up and go again against Oxford the next week as it was still in our own hands and should easily manage it.

Agreed Godders mate. I know I had a similar positive effect after we lost 3-0 away to Shrewsbury once and I spotted an injured Scott Griffiths in the car park afterwards. I asked him "what was that!?" and he apologetically shook his head. I think we went on a winning run after that. If it wasn't for you and me we'd probably be competing in the 7th tier by now.

Perhaps it will be like the England World Cup-winning squad - you'll get one when you're in your 70's

Jack Senior blimey forgot about him. I thought he was going to a really good player for us but he just faded away in the end.
