Have to say, the concerns over recruitment just got a whole lot bigger for me.
The other recent podcasts were very encouraging. This one was most certainly not
I pray that both JW and CP have a huge influence on this guy.
Feels like a DEI hire rather than finding the best candidate
I watched the interview for the first time after the game last night. After reading all the comments on here I kept waiting for it to get worse. It didn't. To me it seems a massive over reaction by people looking for a scapegoat. Yes recruitment has been shocking lately but this was not the terrible interview many are making out.
The one failure by the recruiters and analysts that doesn't get enough coverage for me is the fact we picked off so many Barnsley players that had 1 or more relegations from the championship, and in 1 case one of the lowest points totals ever. Did we really think we could see outliers in the data and buy a 3rd of one of the worst championship teams ever? Those same players now have 3 or 4 relegations in the last 6 years or so. It was nuts to think we knew better.--------------- The truth is simple. If it was complicated, everyone would understand it.
