    Come on England

Like Eli last season, he needs to get one go in off his arse if necessary, today was an example of being in the right place being right up top but couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo.

I'm just hoping if he gets one he'll be prolific or have we just got a journeyman?

But how long do you keep starting him, and leaving him on when he couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat, in the hope that one goes in off his arse?? Why not try Nordas at some point; doesn’t he warrant some time to see how he shapes up? Yesterday’s game was tailor made for him to bully their defenders around…

He doesnt work as a lone frontman. 2 over the bar from 3 yards is impressive (ok the 2nd one was more difficult). Mind you Yates was just as bad when he came on. Got the 1 on 1 and didnt know what to do - surely the basics of a striker?

Other than that much much better. Richards in particular (I would say Clark as well but he has kept his standards high anyway). Odoffin had the most Luton debut ever - first 2 touches were fouls. 3rd and 4th was cleaning out Naismith (who was much improved until that header) and then a goaline clearance.

Jones was notorious before he joined us for not being involved in any goal scoring action (goals or assists), but sorted that right out within about 5 minutes.

Northampton were poor so not hanging out the buntin just yet. We seem to have a self destruct in defence. But its a win. A welcome one. And some more promising signs. Progress - albeit with disclaimers

You may be right but can we afford to carry him when we don't have anyone to take up the slack.
