    New manager

    Cooper or Corberan for me.
Don’t like either of them but, they know how to get the job done, and build a team spirit.
    Discuss.

Carlos Corberan, the Valencia manager? Why would he swap a massive club in La Liga for this mess in Div 3?

As for Cooper, our best shot at him was last season even if the odds were already slim. Absolutely no chance he drops down this far. Top-end Champ club for him next, I reckon.

Dangle enough money in front of anyone and you'd be suprised what can happen.
Manager and his backroom staff are the most important people at any club, we have to get this right!
I know we are L1 at the moment, but potentially we can be much higher.

Wilshere with an experienced no.2 like Bould.

Non of the other names being talked about interest me in the slightest.

Where we now stand as a football club means we're not a particularly appealing proposition anymore.

People in football will obviously talk and, as it looks from the outside looking in, that the club is rotten, not many in their right mind would want to come.

What’s your obsession with Wilshere you keep banging that drum
After our inexperienced managers have all been found out in recent times, why would you think an even more inexperienced new manager is the answer
I’m truly baffled as you seem to have a clue on most things

There's no 'obsession' I've probably mentioned him 3 or 4 times over the last week.
There's alot more to a manager than just 1 man. His backroom staff are a huge part of it. Hence my suggestion of an old school coach like Bould.
How many of us had heard of Bloomfields assistants? I wouldn't know who they were if the were sat next to me in a pub. You want someone that the players respect. Not some dick that has read the FAs coaching manual a dozen times.

Agree with all that and wasn’t having a dig.
It’s frankly boring now and just needs sorting.
Through all this the fans haven’t changed it’s purely at the door of those in the ivory tower.

                  Definitely mate.
No one appointment will please everyone.
Whoever it is needs to start off with a bang though. Non of this 'give him 10 games' bollocks.
Out of all the managers 2020 have started, this is arguably the most important.

I've already written this season off

Like with Still (I know he took over in Feb rather than Oct), I can live without promotion as long as we start to look like a football team that we can get behind again

We have no identity of personality and are fucking unlikeable

Just utter shit after where we were. The club got to the prem and then just seemed to give up

We're not that far adrift, if the new manager can get us playing like we give a shit we can easily gain ground and challenge

I just don't think we have the players. Another transfer window wasted

We might have an ok team once 4 or 5 of the injured return (if they ever return) but I just don't think our squad is very good

There should have been more changes than just the manager. The football side of the club is totally dysfunctional. But, that's ok 'cos we GOT TO THE PREM (and wasted that opportunity) and used to get beaten by Braintree

TBF a few blokes sat in the pub would most probably do a better job than them.

The appeal would be that there is a decent budget and you'd like to think that there are some players who could turn into Championship-level regulars as well as a new stadium on the horizon. The problem is the squad mentality, the fans' (not unreasonable) expectations and trying to get a team to play decent football when half of them are perma-injured.
Managers believe in their own abilities, it isn't a terrible opportunity.

The stadium is still 3 years away. Based on average managerial tenures, the new manager is highly unlikely to be leading us out for the first game.
