    Jack Wilshere

Now favourite, but my concern would be his age. 33. Surely too young to be the disciplinarian we are looking for ?

I understand people's concerns but if we're going for a young starter, he's the one IMO. he'd get more respect than some young coach no one has heard of. He'd get the respect from the players because of the level he played at. Every managerial appointment is a risk.

Would prefer Lawless and Benson over Wilshere

          Why is that?

Lawless would be even more out there than Wilshere

Wilshere would be a massive gamble but not the worst idea I've heard. He would absolutely need a grizzled, experienced, wise assistant/mentor/whatever though

              FIFA's Chief of Football Development since 2019 . . .

It would take a lot of rather full brown paper envelopes to get him back into football management now I'd guess.

Yeah. He's helped push through some fairly awful changes - the Club World Cup, trying to get a world cup every 2 years etc.

                He's a stooge.

Yes, real shame, thought he was better than that.

                Beat me to it

Steve Bould could’ve been a good shout as his assistant, but think he’s at QPR?

I don’t think Jack Wilshire will happen. Although it’s probably the most exciting name mentioned.

We've employed a 33 year old manager before. That one worked out pretty well.

He’s only favourite because someone’s stuck a tenner on it
Will be an incredibly small betting market
I wouldn’t actually be that against it however.
