You could also say that we've been broadly shit, yet after 10 games we have 16 points and very much still in touch. Beat the Chavs on Saturday and that lead is reduced further.

Jury is still out on him. He took a whiel to get going last season but then we had promotion form up until west brom. New squad - taking a while to get going but still in a decent position.
Does leave himself open with some slightly bizarre decisions (if you are going to play 2 wingers and 1 central striker at least make sure it is someone with physicality)
But changing the manager has never been a magic bullet- he isnt doing a great job but hes not doing a bad one either. And we are not fucking w*tford ffs

2020 have done a brilliant job, especially up until about 2022 (with the hugely significant contribution of Nathan Jones). But everyone and everything has a shelf life. Perhaps we need something fresh to take us to the next step

You're slightly missing my point.
It works both ways. You've suggested our ups and downs are just part of the cycle. Of course sport does move in cycles. But my view is our rise was largely down to being well run. And if we’re going to credit good management for the climb, then the current mess deserves just as much scrutiny.
You don’t get to ride the wave up and then blame the tide on the way down, as it were.

There is a middle ground don't ya know. And that middle ground is to expect to be an established second division club, which sometimes punches up and which sometimes has a cup run
Are you saying the club don't aspire to that, then? If so, I wish they'd tell us (not that I think they think like that)
