    Bizarre realisation of the day

Data harvesting and predicting human behaviour. The tech giants we know have been harvesting our data for years now. They can use that to predict human behaviour. Taken to it's logical conclusion, with increasing computational power can they begin to know us better than we know ourselves? If yes, does this make them closer to an all knowing entity, albeit manmade, that edges ever closer to the idea of God? If time is infinite then we are only aware of the time in which we exist, but all possible moments in time must exist simultaneously. Therefore is God just something that continuously loops back in on itself? Weird to think my online activity, including this stupid fucking post, feeds into, and possibly helps to create this manmade ever more knowledgeable high tech pursuit of ultimate power. Fuck the whole thing. No to all but essential cookies. It won't make any difference. Oh well.

Some interesting points on the singularity. Do you not think that computational power knows you better than you know yourself already? It does.

Cookies are largely irrelevant now. The "cookieless world" refers to the significant shift in online advertising and tracking practices driven by changes in privacy regulations and browser policies. 'First party' data is now the cornerstone of effective digital strategies these days.

      Sorry for the dull reply.

In reply to your first paragraph, yeah probably I suppose. But I was thinking about the furthest possible extreme of that which would be akin to a sort God like knowledge. Which may or may not be possible. There was some coke addled weirdo spokesperson a few years ago whose name I misheard as Benjamin Britton, which he obviously wasn't because Benjamin Britton the composer is dead, but anyway this coke addled weirdo had a name that sounded very similar and his grand theory was about what he called The Stack, which was about an accidental accumulation of computers linked by networks that assume ultimate knowledge or some such bollocks. I tried to Google him the other day and just kept getting the composer so I can't prove that I didn't dream any of this.

In reply to your second paragraph, can you, in an unboxing nutshell, explain what you mean by first party data capture strategies please Trevor mate?

That's a lot of reading. I'm going to conclude without reading any of it that we're heading for a dystopian tech giant orientated future where they create their own digital currencies to amass even more profit from the transactions their systems service for the masses. They'll become so powerful that we'll end up dancing to their tune in between grumbling about the good old days when things were only partly shit. I'm right aren't I?

We have a tech giant present, not future. It's well over 30 years since Bill Gates started his journey towards giving the world free pornography.

              Currencies? Not sure.

Bank of England have announced today that they are thinking stable coins might be good after all. Stable coins is the rebranding of CBDCs really. Because CBDCs started getting a negative image. But stable coins are good. Ok.

And I have found the coke addled weirdo if you are interested, this is his wiki:

Thanks, I will have a look. I was actually supposed to spend yesterday at Google HQ at St Pancras discussing AI and the future in their opinion. Real work got in the way and I didn't go. Still miffed.

I'm guessing you are not the same Trevor as the newt/Stockwood Park bloke that used to post on here. I think he spelt it Trevore. He made me chuckle out loud sometimes. But if you are him I can understand why getting drunk by the pond would have been more important to you yesterday and if so then FAIR PLAY MATE.

These tech fuckers are going to need so much energy to power their data centres and AI bollocks that they'll be building power stations just for that. If you want to make money invest in energy providers. No brainer.
