Keely

Is it time to rest (ie drop) Josh Keely. Shea is way, way steadier. I dont think Keely is as good as he thinks he is, like a L1 Jordan Pickford.Less chat, more hat.

No. Shea is a reliable deputy, but the poor error for the first goal doesn’t mean Keeley is off form altogether. He got over the goal to be excellent at clearing some threatening crosses, and his distribution is a level up from Shea. He’s younger, but better at commanding the box too. Keeley is one of the few bargains we’ve had recently, don’t turn on him for one mistake.

+1
Keeley is a young, inexperienced GK, playing behind an unsettled defence which is constantly changing in personnel and formations - that can't be helping his confidence right now.

Decent post. Young goalies will make mistakes, but the strengths you have noted un Keely compensate for that

Good goalkeeper, but it isn't one mistake though is it. Conceding the corner against Plymouth and Lincolns 3rd goal was soft, then tonight. He may not be as good as we think he is,if there is a couple more of these then he should be rested. Wait and see. Shea is more than trustworthy at this level.Keely is still very young in goalkeeper terms.

Over the course of a season he will a big positive, it's ridiculous to say drop him after one mistake.
Having said that I wouldn't worry if Shae was in goal.Farige is a Complete Tosser

Probably should have saved the first one, crept under him, but it was virtually a free shot on goal in his defence.outlaws is not the barometer of sanity.

Not helped by Makosso having his hands behind his back as he went to block the shot, it then becomes difficult to adjust your body position, then leaving his legs apart for the shot to go through.

Probably????? Most definitely it was a goalkeeping error full stop. Yes it was an unchallenged shot but was from the edge of the box and he has time to save it properly. Live justly, love mercy, perpetuate generosity, walk humbly.

I actually think I might have saved it. With my foot of course, like a true amateur, but still.

I actually agree with you there. Shea is an excellent keeper at this level, and although keeley will be a success, I think the experience of Shea behind the back 4 would be a real asset.

I just don't know what is going on any more I thought Keeley was going to be our one bright spot in this dismal season. I agree, bring in Shea.
