I recently started using Instagram to follow venues and bands that I like. It has been an eyeopener for me.
After watching some political reels mostly humorous ones I am now bombarded with similar reels that are ridiculously partisan.
It made me realise why so many people are so blinkered nowadays, the algorithms are making people more extreme.
No one is looking for or getting the counter arguments.
I have steered clear of social media until now and it hit me like a sledge hammer in the face.
I now feel a little naive and a bit sad about the way things are going . The journey leads you to the answers..
+1 for that, most of it is just cynical bollox and bullshit (oh . . err . . )

Its worse than that. Grown men take actual pride in ignored BBC/ITV / C4 news and only get their news from there and GB news and conspiracy websites. An actual refusal to watch any news that has a responsibility to fact check itself. Same type of people who turned off the emergency alarm test as they didn`t want their portable tracking device to erm track them. Like turning it to silent does that. That is the level of supreme ignorance and stupidity we are dealing with.

Musk pushes yaxley and reform type accounts . Russian bots do the same. Which pushes them even more. If people lived their lives on social media they would get a massive distortion of the actual picture - or hat they could see with their own eyes. If they weren't looking for confirmation bias. MSM gets accused of bias as they dont always agree Eve if you look at yaxleys march - offical figures say somewhere between 100-150k. yaxley claims (and people therefore beleives) it was 3 million - combined populations on manchester, birmingham and glasgow. On a fee streets in central London Go figure
