So reading below who if anyone for Luton

actually had a decent game? It would appear our whole team sucks. Even against Div. 3 opposition. Oh dear.
Only that we are now in Div lower than last season and the quality in our squad is depleting. Shouldn’t we be ideally building a championship squad this season rather than an average Div3 team?
Sorry, I took that wrong.I thought you were being dismissive of our rivals. But it is very difficult to build for a following season. Mainly because there are no guarantees of promotion for anyone. So as a (eg) championship player, why would you take that risk, even if you play for a lower half , but current championship club? Especially if you have a family. Wrexham and Birmingham probably have that advantage due to Hollywood glamour. But most teams don't have that appeal. To get "better" players, we surely need to find an excellent prospect from divisions below, or foreigners who want to get an opportunity in UK..
We spent the Prem season building an average Championship team and the Champ season building an average L1 team, so it stands to reason that we should be building an average L2 team this season.
It’s the Luton way. No Billy Big Bollocks stuff and all that…
Keeley, as per. Makosso, as per. Saville, who now seems to have settled in. Nordas was good for the first hour, but tired after. I’m possibly in a minority, but I also felt Alli looked better bursting through from LWB today and had his best game this season.
Your last paragraph is one major reason why we need to go to 4-3-3.
Alli is head and shoulders, above the rest of our attacking players. Good teams always set up tactically, to allow their best players to thrive. He is wasted at LWB, having to start his runs from deeper.
It’s certainly worth a go and I get the reasoning. But, as others have said, who plays left-back? Bramall looks reasonable enough, but - as has been known since relegation - we don’t really have a reliable left-back.
Sorry, but that’s two centre-backs as full-backs. Naismith has been off-form so far at LCB, so the idea he could “easily do a job in the third division” as a left-back doesn’t fill me with confidence.
