Affordable Housing.

Great news for all LTFC supporters tonight at the Development Management Committee with the above element at Power Court no longer forming part of the legal (Section 106) agreement. As a result it can now be drafted and signed and once this has happened this should quickly allow the planning permission to be formally issued.
Don’t worry lads we can afford to turn down gambling sponsorship now.

Good. They'd only have been bought up by the London Boroughs to house their undesirables. Hardly what you want when you're trying to regenerate a town centre.
Alcantara rather than full leatherFor God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
As great as it is that we can now move forward, is it not a bit morally wrong? Affordable housing seems to be a big thing nationwide nowadays as the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. I'm sure there would have been big interest in those properties.

If you're actually being serious then that's your beat post ever. FACT!!!
No Ronnie …he questions why we have again had a transfer window with more money coming in than we have spent despite huge parachute payments. We have the highest paid ceo by some way in this division and no money spent on signings. Imo (and Nancy others) all very legitimate questions….but you think negative?
I have no idea about this season's figures but, even if he is the highest, how many other CEOs in this division are involved in a stadium (and housing) development the size of ours.
On the subject of Burnley's CEO, no details of payments to directors appear to be shown. I'm not sure who their CEO is. Their accounts for the last couple of years show that in those two years they have paid management charges totalling £4 million to an affiliated entity for management services. His salary may be part or all of that.
We have the highest paid ceo by some way in this division
You don't know that, so don't state it as fact. And you said similar last season, when it was laughably untrue.
Anyhow, we both know agents talk a load of bollocks to suit themselves and what they can earn the most out of, so its not a great idea to rely on anything they say...
No you are right ….I don’t ….all of us can only go on the published accounts and just as i am confident you are going to look silly with your comments about Burnley when there latest accounts are published I think it will be obvious that GS is earning more than most of our highest paid players. TBC I am not saying that’s wrong when we are flying….just think it’s out of kilter when we have failed over the last two years…and spectacularly last year.
Why would I want the application turned down? Its clear we need PC and after all the false dawns over the decades it looks like 2020 are going to be the ones to deliver it. An amazing achievement. Even if it is all very different to what everyone voted for.
Define “affordable housing” ? It’s been a fallacy since it began and should rightly have only been labelled as “discounted housing”, as it’s never been affordable since the phrases inception. I realised years ago (whilst working in planning) that the term was misleading. Unfortunately most politicians don’t understand much about housing policy, as witnessed by the fact that most youngsters cannot even think of getting on the housing ladder.

Absolutely. A large number of people are unable to afford even a crumbling Victorian mid-terrace two-up two-down with an outside loo.
