Dropping Yates then, front two are a 35 yr old and a player who has taken months to show any potential

I thought Nordas and Yates looked promising last night, but by then Yates seemed to have run out of steam. Also think Nordas is better as a late sub, so not sure how to make that work. Maybe Wells (if fit) alone up front with two wide either side, before Nordas and Yates combo as subs.

You have to freshen up the central midfield, all three played 90 last night. Assume Baptiste would come in at least.
Why do you need to freshen it up? They're well paid professional footballers. If they're unable to play Saturday after a Tuesday game they should get another career.

Nonsense innit. Villa used just 14 players in the 80/81 season and they won the league!

I think Makosso for Lodwijk will be the only change.
Nordas has done himself a lot of favours with last night but I still think he'll be benched.

Nordas certainly showed last night that coming off the bench late in a game he can affect it positively in our favour. Gave us something a bit different. His header onto Yates that was a tight offside decision looked promising.

Depends if Kadua is fit, if not Nige will go to right back
