Not in Ipswich squad. Not sure if he is the answer tbh but appears to be on his way

It won't matter who is upfront if were not creating any chances for them. Playing Yates (or whoever) up there on their own is a tough ask with not a lot of support around them , trying to win constant hoofed balls upto them against two centre backs.

OK , let's just say he isn't the answer. Who is then? So many folk know better or only critisize but it's not that easy is it? Even when a quality forward with pace etc like Al Hamadi is on the cards. Personally I think he is the answer or at least one of two. We need quality like him on the wing too.

Relatively reputable sources have been saying we’re likely to beat Cardiff. To Bloomfield’s post-match comments, maybe Al-Hamadi paperwork won’t be done for Wigan, but hopefully for Saturday?

That kind of excuse is what infuriates fans.

If he is coming you work tomorrow to ensure it’s done and don’t finish work until it’s done.

Like most of the rest us when we take a critical task to complete.

Ipswich seemingly happy to release so let’s hope he is in today and having his medical.

Elaborate then if you know otherwise.

Nobody is being offensive here, just frustrated that we can go into another game so short of options.

Eh? Fuck are you on about? Loads of transfers’ paperwork take ages to complete now. Whatever problems we have on recruitment, transfer paperwork is industry-wide now, not unique to Luton. Calm down, ffs.

My point is simply that fannying around with paperwork and using that as an excuse when there are 3 points up for grabs isn’t an acceptable excuse.

Wells is a doubt, Woodrow may be off. We have loaned our other cover out.

That leaves us with one recognised striker, who himself isn’t fully fit. And the unproven Nordas.

The deadline for signings isn’t 5.15 on a Saturday.

A lot can happen on a Sunday and Monday.

Bloomfield hasn’t said he’s interested in Al-Hamadi, as he’s been consistent in not talking about signing specific players before they happen. So he’s not using his potential signing as an excuse.
If you’re saying I’m using it as an excuse? Nope. I’m well aware of the shortcomings of the squad, thanks. But I’ll be happy if Al-Hamadi joins. If the transfer takes a few days because that’s how long transfers take? Not sure what else can be done: Wells has a knock. Yates and Nordas looked alright yesterday. Hopefully Woodrow is going. Chuck Phillips on the bench again for one game? Why not?
Not sure what your “A lot can happen” last sentence means.

Simply that if you are trying get promotion you work your Sunday so Monday is the day for final submissions to the FA and FL.

I know it’s a nice sunny day but if we can have done the medical and paperwork today ready for final signings tomorrow we better have done.

It’s all electronic anyway, so surely not beyond the means of the respective clubs admin teams.

Sure. But, at the risk of going round in circles, Bloomfield states nothing is likely to happen by Wigan. Now, he might be fibbing. It’s been known, eg claiming Yates wouldn’t start v Peterborough when he did. But, with an angsty fanbase, I don’t see what he gains by saying that.
It’s more likely - assuming Al-Hamadi IS happening - that the contract is likely not to be signed off in time. But that happens so often in transfers now that wishing for it not to be so won’t make it so. In this instance, the seemingly slow pace really isn’t the club’s fault.
(As an aside, I worked in football 2016-18. It was around players’ lifestyle, but involved a lot of work with their agents. I got to see then how long “done deals” can take to sign off. It’s tortuous, and I don’t recall any club/manager being able to be good at shortcuts.)

That's a sign of today's society where people expect things to happen instantly without realising what has to happen behind the scenes.

It's like Making Tax Digital (Difficult), the new system being introduced for self-employed and landlords. HMRC try to suggest that it's simple with lots of benefits (I still can't see that these mystery benefits actually exist - just a lot of extra time, hassle and costs). The Government's Treasury Minister recently described it as just a case of click and send. That is an insult to those who have to get things prepared ready to press the button to submit the information. With a minimum of five (nine or thirteen in a lot of cases) submissions each year instead of an annual tax return, HMRC claim that the additional costs will be £16 per year.

Everything may be submitted electronically to register a transfer but a lot has to be done manually and in person to get to that point.

Only putting 2 and 2 together with Woodrow not in squad for us yesterday.
He is the right age at 23 and has potential value growth. Would rather see signings like that compared to players on the decline.
The problem I have is he has had a torrid time at Ipswich but maybe we could get him firing again
