    Engine failure

What does it take to ignite our team. We are seriously lacking drive. We have no power or pace in our team. Nearly every pass is sideways or back. I’d switch saville out of midfield as he offers very little. Put Niasmith in midfield. Ali needs to be much better than he is offering. Everything with him is lacking. Bang average player. The team we constantly put out is lacking pace and power.

Stop playing this ridiculous back three/five. We may or may not have better midfielders than others, but we don’t get enough of them onto the pitch.

Instead we play an extra CB who is at best redundant and, at worst, gets in the way.

We play non-specialists at WB, often on the wrong side of the pitch. Often they would - otherwise - be among our best attacking threats, but we have neutered them.

Ogden being a prime example, Chong another, and now Alli. How have we got into a position where we are forced to substitute Alli after 20 minutes because he has been booked whilst trying to defend at WB on the wrong side of the pitch and is in danger of a red card? No wonder he is pissed off.

We are outnumbered in midfield, so all our midfielders seem shit, because they don’t have passing options if they are pressurised. Even players as good as Aasgaard have no space to play in, because we have taken too long to get the ball to them.

Or we are outnumbered up front, with one striker against two and sometimes three CBs.

It’s just a shit-show, and 3 at the back is the main reason.

We’re lacking pace and power because we don’t have the ability to read the game properly. I think that comes down to player intelligence, as I mentioned earlier.

Inability to pick out the right pass and to move into space is what makes our play seem slow.
