Credit where it’s due. They were far more motivated than us today. Outfought us won most of the duals and forced us into errors backed by a big crowd. We just weren’t up for it and showed some of the negatives from last season. To be honest I felt pre match that we would struggle with this type of opponent and so it proved. Up to the team to show they can bounce back from this. Still very early days.

I've seen very little from the so called leaders in our team.
Naismith, Clark, and Wells aren't imposing themselves on games - and Saville in particular looks bang average.

Wells didn't play today. Naismith at the tail end of his career at this level,Clark flits in and out of games and I agree Saville has been disappointing.

Agreed. They competed well and were well drilled. Just needed a little more grit and movement off the ball to unsettle them more because when it did happen we were able to play through them. It will be interesting to see how we respond on Tuesday night.

It’s still early but we’ve played six halves and the ratio good:dreadful is concerning. We were not unlucky today, but we are very lucky to win the first game. We have more points than we deserve and if we don’t start playing better it will soon show in the table. I had a season bet for us to finish top two. I used the cash out function today and got my money back. I’m just not sure anymore that we won’t get another season like the last one.

Well if we do then Bloomfield will be hounded out and surely the crowd will turn. What is currently being served up is totally unacceptable
