of the year for me on Saturday, since I became ill* in January. Really looking forward to it, although I won't be boozing. In fact, I won't be drinking alcohol ever again.
Hoping to bump into some mates and chums, it's been too long.

I haven't had any alcohol since NYE 2022. Huddersfield Away the next day was a struggle.
I fully recommend the tee total life but I don't pretend I'm not sometimes tempted.

As Billy Connolly says if you don't drink you'll get another 2 or 3 months of life. Not the 2 or 3 months when you were 25 and shagging like a stallion and partying through the night but the 2 or 3 where you are pissing in your bed and falling over for no reason........

Yeah but Billy Connolly is decidedly unfunny and swears profusely and completely unnecessary most of the time. I can't say I never swear so when I do I know it has impact.

The falling over thing for no reason is a serious pain ! I was mowing the grass in June and I slipped, grabbed the power bar and held on tight and I did the splits (or nearly did). My groin(s) still hurt....
