Crossing from wide.

I'm of the opinion (and I'm no tactician) that the wide players should be throwing in some early crosses.
Get to the bye line and pull it back is ok if it works, but often a heavy touch just allows the defender to watch the ball out for a goal kick. Or it's passed backwards then recycled across the pitch for a repeat on the other side.
Throw some early crosses in, get the attackers (and midfielders) to anticipate better and arrive in position before the defence gets itself set.

Without Adebayo, Morris, Collins, Hylton etc we no longer have a target man. With Yates and Wells up front we'll be playing more of a passing and dribbling style with fewer early crosses.

Our promotion from this league last time round seemed to include lots of crosses from the bye line - Shinnie > Stacey > Collins felt like a cheat code!!!
Did we have competent wing backs or just blokes that might be able to do the job? Inside every old person is a young person wondering what happened. Terry Pratchett
