Full time thoughts

OK display given the heat and 11 changes. Only Woodrow looked like scoring. Nordas did some perfectly decent hold up play but has absolutely no pace and didn’t get into any goal scoring positions.
Fanne isn’t an advanced midfielder in my opinion. Him and Nelson have some technical quality but no end product.
Odd decision by Bloomfield to bring Alli on at RWB when Lonwijk was at LWB. The left side of our defence looked a mess at the start of the second half and that’s how they scored. Holmes is still slow and shite.
Very frustrating that ref blew for a foul when it looked like Yates was through on goal.
Liked the look of Kodua going forwards. Bramall also did OK, we missed him in the second half. Walsh generally neat tidy and combative, he does give the ball away more than a player of that type should in my opinion but at least he tries to progress the ball. Chigozie was fine. McGuinness did what he’s good at.
Ultimately it was a totally differ type of game to most league games but I don’t think anyone demanded to feature Saturday.

Agree with most, apart from your last sentence;Kodua showed he is levels ahead of Walters and should be ahead in the pecking order.
Think Bloomfield referred to his versatility when he first signed. Kodua looks far more accomplished and threatening going forward than Walters.
If we persist with wing backs, Kodua has to play over Walters. Especially as most of the space will be out wide, when playing low block teams.

Pretty much agree. But I also think people are a little harsh on Nordås. At times his hold up play was excellent and a good outlet. He also ran through in the first half but couldn't quite steer a shot in.
Woodrow definitely had a decent game.
I was also pleased that we actually tried to get some shots away - albeit most weren't on target - but was pleasing that players were willing to have a pop.
Shame Richards' couldn't keep his header down in stoppage time.
But before kick off I didn't expect us to get a result but if that was genuinely a strong Coventry side then either they are relegation candidates, or we did very well!Live justly, love mercy, perpetuate generosity, walk humbly.

I think it was purely because after passing the ball sideways for 5 minutes outside their area, people got bored and just hit it. Inside every old person is a young person wondering what happened. Terry Pratchett
Chigoze - have a good account of himself. Kodua - looked more threatening than Walter’s Woodrow - put himself about, good composure and vision
Cons:
Holmes - nothing to add to what we already know Nordas - as above Nelson - maybe being harsh, but not sure he is a number 8. Needs to be played in the 10. Alli - getting some Mengi vibes…
