Three match ban - admitted the offence so tonight (when he probably wouldn't have played anyway) is one of the three.

I might be old school but I think the Posh player deserved it, had a grip on Fanny that was tighter than a ducks arse. He might think twice next time, the big woosie.

Wasn't it Tom Lockyer who was smacked in the face?

Sensible to take (effectively) the two match ban instead of fighting it and delaying the ban until it is the full three matches. It’s annoying that the referees miss a lot of things in a game but you never see any positive retrospective intervention. Eg the awarding of a disallowed goal, when tv proves the Lino’s offside flag was wrong.

Also sensible to take the punishment now as it means he's back for the Cardiff game.

Didn't Tom Lockyer once smack someone extremely hard in the face off the ball, at the halfway line and somehow got off with it....TV cameras caught a bit of it. Or I might be completely wrong!

Big Mick was cleverer at the Allotments when he headbutted Brian Talbot, putting him out of the game.
Perhaps Mick should give a few sly lessons to our players, though I guess video replays would make such tricks more difficult these days.

Can't recollect that one, but that's nothing new for my memory.

Probably wasn't in the same category as the Lansbury free kick, Craddocks slap, or Sols' tackle* to name a few.

One of the Sunderland play-off games?

Rings a bell, didn't Craddock whack someone in the JPT final?

Yes. It would be interesting to know how often shit-housery like that happens in the lower leagues.

Wasn’t Lockyer thumped by Billy Sharpe at Sheff Utd away a few years ago too? Think Sharpe had only just come on. A few must take exception to Tom’s close attentions.
