I have just heard that Adam Dilley passed away this afternoon. It doesn't seem possible that it is almost four years since it was discovered that he had a brain tumour and was told that he probably had only 12 to 18 months to live.

This is awful news, I know his parents Mark & Wendy due to business, Adam has been unwell for sometime, but still managed to get to many games. Rip brave young man.

💔 Update regarding Adam 💔. It with the heaviest of hearts that Wendy Dilley myself and Graeme have to inform you that Adam passed away at around 3.20 this afternoon.
He was surrounded by ourselves, Tasha, family members and several of his closest friends who have constantly attended his bedside since he was first admitted to the hospice several weeks ago.
We can never repay the love that Adam has been shown especially most recently and also since his original brain tumour diagnosis.
He is a remarkable young man who has battled this terrible disease with the strength and bravery I could only dream of having. We know that his condition was hard to deal with at times but his love of Tasha and their little boy Alfie was boundless.
Finally we would like to thank the staff of Sue Ryder Hospice in Moggerhanger. They came to adore Adam and shed a few tears this afternoon. They were simply magnificent from day one. Nothing was ever too much trouble despite I would think never having seen so many visitors for one person 💔
That’s sad, Adam was a real fighter. Love to his family and little boy.😢🕊️For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
It is a strange thing, that for all the "I didn't know hims", a lot will know him as one of the faces you see and recognise, but never speak to. Just as you recognise and maybe nod to people you pass in the street on a regular basis. I know lots of dogs names and chat to the owners, without having a clue what their name is. Not really sure where I am going with this. Maybe just have a few words with the people around you, rather than putting your face in a phone. Condolences to all the family. .
We talked about some old times And drank ourselves some beers Still crazy after all these years.
