Dont be childish, Derby interviewer asked him outright and seeing as he had just joined them what was he expected to say. He immediately followed it up with praise for Luton.

Morris gave everything for our club he was one of the few that left it all out there every single game. I’ll remember him fondly and won’t judge him solely by an awkward question in an interview for another club.

I don’t get this Morris love to be honest. I found him extremely frustrating last season. Fell down as soon as he got the ball and was never in the right place when crosses came in. Sure, he didn’t have much support but saying he ran his socks off to me just seems false. Previous seasons are a totally different thing, but last season’s Morris I don’t miss one bit. I’m glad he scored for Derby though.

The main problem with him last season was that he should never have been captain. Doing that as a forward is, I think, too hard as you really need to see the game in front of you. He just tried far too hard to tee players up which resulted into n him not being focused on what his main job was - scoring goals…

I’ll admit the falling over side of his game crept in and just made him look daft and cumbersome! Probably a premier league hangover where more agile players do it routinely but more pleasing on the eye than Morris. A limited footballer trying his hardest is what we have been built on historically,with a few exceptions down the years. No love-in from me just a cap doffed in his direction.
