Disappointing as is a lively young player - not the finished article.

Based on feedback from a Col U supporting friend we’ve probably dodged a bullet.
Lots of promise but injury prone. And when he’s not injured he gets himself sent off. An average of 25 games and 5 goals a season isn’t really what we need.

Maybe we were still prepared to sign him despite whatever showed up on his medical, but wanted to structure the deal differently to reduce the risk involved, e.g. a lower guaranteed fee and more in add-ons which we wouldn't have to pay if he didn't play much. Which would be sensible but doesn't mean the selling club has to accept it, and if they didn't want to then it was also sensible for us to move onto other targets."Never too high, never too low"
As far as I can see, the only place that has mentioned a failed medical is some spotty kid on twitter and then it snowballed. So are we to believe that Colchester are lying about payments not being agreed?

I don't think the 2 things would have to be mutually exclusive, as I suggested in my previous post. Maybe he failed his medical, and maybe we subsequently failed to agree on changes to the terms of payment. But I'm not in the know, just pointing out that there is a possibility that both things could be true."Never too high, never too low"

Exactly that. Colchester announced he was definitely joining Luton and all was agreed. After the medical issue was found (knee scan) we offered alternative terms but Colchester refused to accept adjusted offer.

They have concocted a story to protect the lad. 😉🙄 medical issue. Shame he looked a real prospect.

Medical issues isn't a problem for us though I mean we knew what was wrong with odoffin and still signed him. We always got the lad from wolves because of his recent injury problems otherwise he would of gotten a loan to a championship club.

Bloomfield has blatantly said about odoffin and longwijk in interviews have a look on Luton now site it's been mentioned. If this lad was injured or failed a medical why is he back with Colchester training and expected to play at the weekend for them again.
I reckon there is another player we been after who is available now or is interested in coming. Who knows. Remember the Ngoy situation last season when we agreed to sign him and then Edwards pulled the plug on it last minute as we didn't need him.
