Real Bedfords owner. Is he the chap who keeps having digs at our club in the hope of creating some kind of rivalry?

Given that Bedford Town are likely to struggle/get relegated this season and Real Bedford will possibly do well, you reckon next summer will be when the merger happens?

Either way I think a merged club has to go to the lowest league of the 2 clubs, so if Real Bedford got promoted and Town relegated, Real wanted to merger they would have to take the hit of missing out on promotion.

Reckon McCormack would take the hit for the goodness of the local community. He seems a decent and fair chap.

Would they be able to move up at that ground even if they did win the league?

Yep they would be allowed up if they get it to Step 3 standard this season.

If they then didn't get it up to Step 2 standard, they would be demoted after their first season in NLN,

You have to meet the grading daadline the year after promotion.

They've got to get it up to Step 3 standard by March 31, 2026 to avoid being demoted.

They can probably do that. if they made it to National League North they would have until 31 March '27 to get it to Step 2 standard, that would be a big ask, maybe not impossible.

No they have now reached their limit, as regards to the ground.
Back in Jan 24 they had just under 2 years on their lease to go, I assume that’s been sorted by now?
