Last night reflections

We look defensively solid. I was surprised by how good Andersen was. He won everything in the air and probably had more touches than most of our players.
Keeper, makosso, he and Naismith look v good. Though Wimbledon offered little going forward.
Wing backs didn’t offer much but Walters had a better second half.
We still went long and expected wells to win as much in the air as Morris/Eli would have. That obviously needs to change.
Interesting the goal comes from the first time someone really centrally ran beyond Wells.
For all the possession we did seem quite slow with the ball and didn’t seem to have lots of ideas. That being said, when we lost the ball we did seem to win it back quite quickly.
The quality of our subs show the depth we’ve got; Nelson, Fanne and baptiste all added some quality.
Hopefully the team comes together, we figure out the best XI and Yates scores 20+
Was really pleased when we signed him at the start of the Premiership season.
However, like Holmes and I suspect to some regard McGuinness needs to play that central role in a back three.
That first game vs Brighton Mitoma dragged him all over the pitch when Kabore got caught too high. He wasn’t mobile or quick enough.
The CB competition for places is going to be interesting this season. Mengi will surely leave. Can Andersen oust McGuinness? Will Bloomfield be brave enough to drop Kal if Lonwijk improves? Where does Oddofin fit in, is he competition for Saville instead?
