Our senior leaders vs youth

Thought that given their pedigree the underperforming players last night were Clark, Saville, Kal, Walsh and Wells.
Really don’t understand the criticism of Walters he was easily one the most progressive players with the ball, got around the back a few times, got crosses in and had a cracking effort on goal. He tried to make things happen.
He’s no wing back but Lonwijk looks classy, Keeley assured, Massoko and Mads strong ( although Massoko needs to quit trying to ping a long ball), and whilst Alli was frustrating more centrally, when wide had a few good runs. He needs to get his head up and look for a pass / cross earlier though.
Nelson and Fanne definitely contributed when they came on. Baptiste has to start.
And I like Woodrow. Pleased he got the nod over Nordas.
It’s shame we can only pick 7 subs because based on preseason I think Richards was unlucky not to make the bench.,
Thought Walsh was the only player with a bit of composure. Two great feet and can play with both. Only player with a bit of invention and the courage to try things
Personally I think he'd be better off higher up the pitch instead of Clarke.
I thought Naismith did okay and Walsh was on the ball a lot which is a start - the others were pretty anonymous
Massoko is an accident waiting to happen I fear
Baptiste and Fanne for me could be starters. Baptiste is in pure technical terms a good player but we know he cannot stay fit. Frustrating
Woodrow forced the own goal to be fair by making a run so okay fair enough but for me in general over the last 2 years or so he has been pretty non consequential. I always felt Joe Taylor was a better choice coming off bench but RE obviously had his favourites
Walters had a poor first half, slight improvement in 2n half. Agree with the rest of your post. But Woodrow is still not the answer. Having said that I was not at the game and watched it on tv.
