With the current fit squad / form - not sure there is any other 11 to select. McGuinness and Fanne may have started if match fit, no other fit better midfield options or strikers to force their way in past the team you've picked. Walsh, Woodrow and Nordas havent done enough preseason to be selected to start. Nelson and Richards will get there, but not quite ready. Does feel we are bit light creatively...

Clark, Baptiste, Walsh Richards and Nelson are all creative central midfield options. Even Naismith can spot a pass.

It's quality crosses from wide areas and set pieces I'm more worried about.

Those fans that constantly criticised Doughty's delivery might soon realise he wasn't so bad after all. It is the one area I think we've looked a bit weak in during friendlies.

Not just the quality of his crossing, it was his ability to get past the full back to get the cross in.

Like you say, I think people who constantly criticised his delivery are in for a rude awakening.

100% agree …one of our best players over the last 10 years imo.

Yep Jimmyp will be very surprised when 80% of our attacks break down because Nigel will get the ball, stop, then pass it sideways rather than make a run and get the ball in.

What an utterly retarded thing to have inferred from what I actually said.

                  Borderline weird.

Lwb is the least of our problems as Nigel played there more in pre season than Doughty anyway, or something very similar is what you said.

Just because he played there doesn't mean he can do anywhere near as good a job.

Rather than paraphrasing what I said, why don't you go and find it and quote it word for word. Copy and paste if you must.

Seems like you could stand to read it once or twice more, given that you clearly didn't actually follow what I'd said the first time.

Doughty was massively overrated at crosses and set pieces overheard last 18 months or so.

Crosses only work if there is someone on the end of them. And I don`t know enough about Wells to suggest that will do that. Corners a different matter as we can put people in the box I think Nelsons set piece deliveries are as good as Alfies - well ebtter than last seasons Alfie

Nelson or Richards could also add creativity but not sure they get ahead of the two "free number 10`s" tomorrow I think we are fine creative wise - so light on those who can take advantage Not sure Wells is really a hold up battering ram type player as well. Maybe Walsh when baptiste gets injured before half time.

Be interesting to see how we setup tomorrow. We dont currently have wingbacks in the squad and the only big striker is Nordas. We have enough in that midfield to dominate the ball. Ali has the ability to really hurt sides as this level.

Walsh and Clarke together still brings WBA away chills down my spine - together they are far too easily overpowered. So Im hopeful Baptiste has sorted his injury isuses out...

Think thats why saville has been bought in WBA was bell and mengi having a collective shitshow. Although Bell ahs now gone and apparently mengi has decided hes actually going to put effort in now (when not injured)

Sounds a decent call or could play Nordås ahead of Nahki Wells. Whoever starts will be replaced by the other at some point in the game.

3-0 too fuckin easy and the league is handed over before anyone else plays.
