happening between on the green, and the pissed-knickers of the Outlaws doughnuts* are so far apart, they might as well be be in different universes.
It's as if the doughnuts* are wanting us to lose on Friday so they can explode in their self-righteousness, and I'm far from convinced that a) they're actually Luton supporters, and b) some are just shit-stirrers perhaps chasing their own agenda.
*I do not include long-time Outlaws with proper concerns amongst the doughnuts.

I would never, ever wish my team to lose. It goes against the grain of being a supporter. Its the same when it comes to booing players, never got that either .Stick with your team at all times. We can all get angry now and again but to wish the club fail is downright wrong.
Regarding 2020 there does need to be more transparency and the recent media issues with regards to Doughty isn't what should be coming out of a football club. There are issues at the club which need addressing but as long as we see success on the pitch that would be a great start to allow us to just forget the last 1 1/2 years.

As someone who doesn't do social media, is it really that bad? I think on here that we can all cope with each other as we wouldn't come back here if we didn't.
There are always going to be differing opinions but we have pretty much learnt to take it for what it is and not take things seriously. I love this club, and yes I've said some things in the past but Outlaws is moreso a place for venting.
There are much worse things in life to deal with, some which I've experienced as of late so now I just get on with it.

The club has de-railed itself the last 2 years or so. Self-sabotage
I'm hoping to see it get back on the rails and go back to what we were. Go back to what worked so well cos something isn't right

I disagree
The club was not ready for PL or the guff that came with it.The money was great but needed managing Lessons learned etc.

If we had invested in new players in January 2024 I think we would have stayed in the PL. We gave some big teams a scare, but just couldn't hold on for 3 points in many games and had to settle for a draw or even worse, a loss.
Unless you are a 'big' club the financial reward us probably the biggest reward for promotion.' Live for today, not for tommorow '

As many said at the time, they could and should have brought people in with PL experience off the pitch to help then.
2020 have been amazing but the last couple of years, they've got alot wrong. We keep hearing they're learning from their mistakes etc yet nothing changes.
Is it 17 years now? Yet they still run a Beazer Homes league club shop. Surely that's basics?
Re: What I see
Posted by Music Critic on 29/7/2025, 11:21:40, in reply to "Re: What I see"
Yep. I'm droning on from a position of wanting 2020 to do well. They've been superb. I want them to succeed - not just for the sake of us winning some games of football but for them as a group
But a double relegation and some of the other stuff suggests that things need to change. And if something is concerning, aren't we allowed to raise concerns anymore?

Thing is in Conference we worked ourselves up into a frenzy about each Manager.
Look at way Harford was hounded out? Does anyone seriously think he wouldn't have got promotion within 5 fucking seasons?
Now the frenzy is against the CEO, not the Manafger.

That said, all of 2020 have enough in the bank, they've earned the respect but certain things have to change and change quickly as I reckon we're only a shit start to the season away from it turning a bit ugly.

Is it?
Two years ago we were being praised (largely by ourselves) as the best-run club in the country.
Now we’re rewriting the narrative to say we “weren’t ready" for top flight football. As though that somehow explains last season's fuck up in a division we were very well established in.

There is no way we should have got relegated last season. Complacency set in. Things drifted (on the green anyway) without a plan/strategy/etc
Has the club changed, enough, in the face of that huge failure to ensure we get back on track? Time will tell
I honestly believe that most people are still well behind 2020 and rightly so. But, if there is one thing Luton fans have been good at for decades, it is 'keeping them peeled'. Nothing wrong with that

I think we prefer making things up tbh.

We are a club in transition. Simple as that.
Trouble is, with social media and blanket coverage of football, we are now ALL experts in football management; being an agent, being a player, being club ceo, being socials manager for the club, a 25 goal a season talent scout. The reality is we are not.
Well said Farhat, let's back the team and be a club. Now is not the time to boo hoo in public....

I agree KO.
We’ve modernised a lot over the last 10 years, training facilities etc. New stadium is a next thing on the list.
Unfortunately, our success to the PL meant we had to move too fast and we weren’t sophisticated enough to do that (kits, online packages etc).
If we can get a winning season, which I believe we can, then we can hopefully get back to making steady progress again.

The pissed-knicker wearing doughnuts called it right last season even though the squad appeared to have enough about it to challenge strongly in the Championship. Perhaps, the pissed-knicker wearing doughnuts removed their rose tinted glasses sometimes ago?
You surely do not seriously think anyone wants us to lose on Friday? Surely it is more a case of not wanting to repeat recent mistakes as that would be completely inexcusable
