Part of the complacency that took us down.
Not fit enough and quality way off what he’s capable of.
Have no problem if he gets his head down and proves himself again. However, if he struts around thinking he’s too good, happy for Kal to remind him of the what’s required.

Deluded and ill timed, but the Doughty I know goes Up and down the wing all game, and if I recall correctly came back on injured as no subs left , hardly the sign of a slacker ! Truth seeker / snide

Doughty is currently our best and most valuable player.
Every fan from every other club in Britain sees that - unfortunately we have a group of fans who feel let down by him because when asked whether we could stay up, he said yes - and we didn't.
Therefore he is now shit and lazy.
This was just after he'd signed a new contract whilst in the Championship committing him to the club.
In a recent friendly Saville was unable to beat the first man on countless corners - Alfie did it once and got a kicking.
There are people on this board that don't realise how good some of the players they would happily 'drive' to other clubs are.
If we don't get promoted this season they soon will.

How do you explain the gut that he was carrying?
Can’t argue he tries on the pitch but other parts of his commitment were questionable last season.
If he was that incredible and committed, a championship team would have snapped him up by now.
