    Injuries a worry?

Posted by chocks away on 23/7/2025, 6:50:33

Is Baptiste being rested or is he injured?
    Adebayo
    Brown
    Fanne
    Mengi
    Andersen?
    JJ?
    Jones
    McGuinness
    ??
    ??
and Walsh looks like he is one tantrum away from a yellow/red card. Even an unwarranted shove in a friendly last night.

All a bit of a worry

FFS - can we please tone down the negativity.

What we are seeing is significantly better than a year ago and at face value it seems that feedback on the kit colour has been taken on board.

Not sure how that is preceived as being negative?

Just wondering if he is injured or not.

People moan when there is no transparency, and are worse when there is .

For goodness sake show some patience and resilience.

Listen to what the manager says before posting.

If you look back at all my posts, there is a common thread and that is for the team to win and win well. When I was calling out alarm bells post QPR home last season it was because the writing was already on the wall.

What I am seeing pre-season in terms of fitness, signings and approach, including the comms from the manager are all extremely positive.

My negativity in the past mainly stemmed from the shit show that ran from December 2023 and ended at the Hawthorns.

Turned page and hence we don’t need negativity on here.

We are one, ideally two proven strikers from winning this league.

It’s a ‘weak’ league this season and we will never have a better opportunity, particularly as we are cash rich in relative terms with our immediate rivals.

I really don't like the comments 'it's a weak league this year'. Implication that we only have to turn up to up to piss the league.

It won't be a weak league and there will be plenty of tough games to come. We have lost three top quality players and although some of our signings look promising, let's wait and see until the real season starts.

The comms thing is a bit of a red herring as well. Managers take lessons in PR and dealing with the media, means fuck all in pre-season.

This will be a tough season for a side in transition. Hopefully lessons have been learnt on the recruitment side but there is absolutely no guarantees we walk this league, even with two new CF's.

Can't argue with any of that to be fair.

I'm not overly excited for the coming season as yet. As you say, we're a quality forward or 2 from looking a decent side.

I'm more looking forward to having a few beers and catching up with mates next Friday than I am the football to be honest.

If you think fans being negative could be detrimental on the performance of the team when everything is “extremely positive”, what impact do you think it might have when the team are struggling (for example between December 2023 and the Hawthorns)???

That is a fair point but I think it’s well covered at 43 minutes onwards in the latest Trust Podcast. What James says about making excuses etc.

Ultimately where did the “wait and see” approach get us.

The criticism made during the period stated was warranted based on what we were observing, which ultimately was proven to be well founded.

Last summer was a disaster and yes many of us fell out, with so many differing opinions.

                    It done. We move on.
