It actually might be coming home

This is the luckiest team I’ve seen in a while. Should have gone out in the quarters and should have gone out in the semifinal but were saved by a goal in added time and a questionable penalty.

She flaming near missed it though with that ridiculous skip before the run up. Like Rashford when he missed his for England concentrating more on his dance routine in the run up than just smacking the ball into the top corner.

They were certainly ridiculously lucky in the QF, but last night they were by far the better team. Italy offered nothing but a smash and grab goal largely caused by yet more catastrophic defending from England.

Would have been unlucky to lose last night - though not as lucky as they were to win against Sweden.

They’d better pray that Germany beat Spain. The English defence won’t cope with the Spains technical and fast moving forward play.

Watched the game overseas, the American commentator kept calling the goal "the frame". Is that a thing now? Not as in "hit the framework" but "make sure they get a shot on the frame".

Bollocks to the creeping Americanisation of the game.

Not sure how that's a questionable penalty. Clear as day to me.

Agreed overall though - bloody lucky team!

Yet if that was given against Luton you would be crying blue murder

Exactly. Not sure what people are looking at. Would make sense if they were at the game and just stepped our the loo to catch a glimpse. But with all the angles in TV, no foul.
Bizarrely, in the men's game, there are fouls at every corner and it gets ignored.

Agreed, about time the Italians got called out on their gamesmanship.

Nothing unusual then. The only time we ever did win anything the goal that put us in front hadn’t crossed the line

Needless penalty to give away. She wouldn't have won the header.
