RIP, lots of good memories, glad he got that last show in.
I will spend a day atoning for the fact that I liked them better with Dio though.

I preferred Dio as a vocalist , in fact he was my favourite vocalist. Even saw Dio with Black Sabbath in London. He was given a hard time at first but won them over in the end. For me Dio was more suited in his role with Ritchie Blackmores Rainbow. Dio, Blackmore and Cozy Powell made some classic rock albums, before Ritchie went all moody. Got back into Sabbath a few months ago rediscovering their classic and not so well known songs. I’d forgotten just how good they were, musically, lyrically, and experimentally.
Agreed on all counts, Dio had an amazing voice and a real presence about him. Not dissing Ozzie at all, he was pretty unique but Dio just gave them hellish energy, especially live.

I`m not sure which is more surprising - he has died or that he didn`t die 20 years ago
Ah, bbb , that's such a terrible judgy thing to say about a legend of our lifetime. I doubt you or I could imagine walking Ozzy's road this life. I know you like to shock but that was uncalled for.
He was a complete addict it was the spend time with children bit. We probably all wish we could or had done more of that . We're all victims of the life we choose. From what I could tell his wife and kids adored him despite his addictions and the impact that would've had.
So when you accuse me of judging others , even though it might be a FACT, that's OK then by you?Live justly, love mercy, perpetuate generosity, walk humbly.
Anything that stops one being the best parent and role model is wank. No one is perfect but smashing gear into your veins so you become a complete retard really isn't any good for your kids.
You can't judge a creative person as being "normal", you can't accept Oasis as the new Beatles, the new Slade or the new Sex Pistols, which is why Oasis are the new Status Quo, or more probably just the status quo.
If someone thinks that of Oasis, that's their opinion and nothing to do with me. Plenty of creative people don't resort to heroin mate.
Funny thing is, if I'd have posted my thoughts on Osborne 24 hours ago, plenty would have agreed, I'm sure.
Unfortunately, since Lady Di's death and the growth of the internet, it has become a morbid obsession to be more horrified/respectful/take the moral high ground over the death of someone famous that people have no connection to whatsoever.
