    May to Huddersfield

    Rather changes things.

16 goals for Birmingham last season.

Really odd why he isn’t keen to play higher because he has the ability.

Seems a backwards move to him (obviously) but one that highlights our need for goals.

They do like to sign a striker or two.

Sounds like they are going with the method of buy as many strikers as they can and hope one sticks (a few in the net)

Dion Charles, Joe Taylor now Alfie May.

Hope they find mid-table mediocrity personally.

Maybe, but we are one proper finisher from pissing this league.

          Probably…..

Would be good to get this sorted before the Wimbledon game.

Just play Clarke behind Wells/Nordas, let him score two a game and then we can raffle off the last 10mins to interested fans.

I fancy a cameo as a poor man's Paul Dickov.

I reckon I could get about 10 goals in the 3rd Division. How much is this raffle?

I would have gone for Hammond, younger and hungrier although his injury record is not good

A player we should have bought a long time ago he scores goals whoever he has played for.

Even at 32 he a very useful player in League 1.

It’s as much a statement of intent, paying that kind of money with little chance of any resale.

But as you say he scores goals.

Not sure about May perhaps not a good club man. Nathan soon shipped him out of Charlton and Brum have got rid quick never know the character behind the player.

Nathan let him go quite quickly after he took over. I don’t know why exactly but I trust his judgement.

They did get promoted without May so you can’t say he was wrong. Would they have been anyway? Who knows.

I meant with regard to Stoke and Southampton.

There are probably other examples but your point is probably still valid.
