Sorry, only seen your message around midnight (out with kids and neighbour) so left till this morning.
I wasn't aware of this as an annual event. I actually had to look up what imax is, which shows my cinema experience in recent years ....

Anyway, looking good. I am not intending to book it and will risk turning up on the day in my old fashioned way. I can't see it selling out, as they don't seem to have a big following in UK like there is in US. I do wonder why it is being shown on a Thursday and Saturday at limited venues, when they could show it once and therefore double the venues.
Regardless, something to look forward to.
Thanks for the info. It would be nice to think they could spread The Last Waltz across the country in similar venues. To my knowledge, the only place they do the annual thanksgiving showing is Glasgow.

Hi mate, showing this film isn't an annual event: the Grateful Dead Meet Up at the Movies is, though this is the first time I've heard of it here and it,'s definitely the first time it's IMAX.

Other Meet Ups have included the Sunshine Daydream film which is included in the Sunshine Daydream package. I was a bit disappointed with that but excited to see The Grateful Dead Movie in this presentation format.

Ahh right. I just read the meet up from 2012 (I think ) and assumed it was a fixed thing.
Anyway, thanks again for the info 👽
